A passage from Kathryn Stockett's novel, The Help

"My face goes hot, my tongue twitchy. I don't know what to say to her. All I know is, I ain't saying it. And I know she ain't saying what she want a say either and it's a strange thing happening here cause nobody saying nothing and we still managing to have us a conversation."

Okay, so not only is this the same kind of thing that we've been talking about, but the voice its self is pretty great too. And on a side note, this is an awesome book. I highly recommend it!

  3. Awesome how you connected our class to the book. Funny how things have a way of popping up in places you wouldn't think they would huh? Enjoy the rest of the book!

  4. I felt like such a nerd when my first thought was, "Ooh, I'm gonna put that on the blog!", haha. Oh well, I can't help it.
The rest of the book was amazing, by the way. I would definitely suggest it.

  5. I really want to read this book. I've put it on my list of books to read and would also like to see the movie but I'm a firm believer in reading the book first.
