I know that there are a lot of people in this class that are interested in ASL so if you want some volunteer work I have a great opportunity for you( I LOVE volunteer work) . There is an organization in Lexington called "Hands Alive." Children from central KY who are deaf or hard of hearing come to a church in Lexington to socialize and interact with other children whom are deaf or Heard of hearing. It is really fun and you don't really have to know a lot of signs. I volunteered with them when I was taking ASL 101 and I did just fine. There are great people there to help with signs you might need to know. I will try and attach a picture of the flyer that I have for it.
Every year I have wanted to volunteer, but always missed the date or found out after it past. I would like to do it this year. Thanks for posting long before it's time for the activity has passed.
