Next Monday, October 24th, is our Field Trip to the Bluegrass Technology Center

ReplyDeleteHow long does it take to get from Richmond to Lexington? I live in Danville, but have class earlier in the day on Monday and need to make sure I have adequate time to get there.
ReplyDeleteI work on nicholasville rd and every monday I leave my work at 4:30 and usually make it to Richmond around 5:20. Your hitting rush hour traffic in Lexington so that is why it takes so long.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly are we going to do here? I've never heard of this place before.
ReplyDeleteIt is designed to help people with assistive technology. If someone cannot use a mouse to use the computer, what would they do? If a person couldn't use the keyboard, what would they do? If a person has dyslexia and can't read text, how can a computer assist them? We will be broken into groups to explore the various tools and technology the center has available to assist people. Chapter 15 in our book addresses what we will be talking about :).
