I have a basic understanding of this concept but I am still unclear on how students can exhibit language differences but do not necessarily have a language disorders. Can anyone explain this to me or more detail?
I posted something on this in Heathers post titled Language differences vs. Language disorders. I mient to post it here but you both kind of had the same question.
I guess language differences would be like Ms. White said in class about how Spanish is "ball red" and English is "red ball." That doesn't mean the student is dyslexic if they directly translate it. It just means they have cultural and language differences!(:
