learning objectives

I have basic understanding of comparing and contrasting speech, language and communication but I am still a little unclear. I know how they are similar but how are they different? I know that speech is a verbal sound and communication can be verbal or nonverbal. So how are speech, language, and communication different?

  1. I Have that speech is verbal communication, language is any form of communication (ASL), but communication is a form exchanging information between people (not only people.. I just can't think of the word). So to have communication you have to have a sender and receiver. To have speech you have to have sound. Language you have to have some for of sharing information. I don't know if that helped but that's what I have for the differences.

  3. They are posted in Blackboard in the Weekly resources. They will begin each week's list of resources. The intent is you could read the targets, view the resources - videos, web links, etc. and then determine if you can meet those targets. The chapter in the BOOK will also be of benefit in meeting those targets.
