Semantics is related to CONTENT - or the meaning of language. When we decide what something means or if it makes SENSE, we are dealing with semantics.
This is different than if we are looking at if a person used correct grammar, which is syntax.
How do you think the following sentence relates to semantics vs. syntax?
If I said, "I done walked to the store to bought three fishin pole without my shoe on my two feets" you would understand what happened. I have no trouble with semantics - saying what I mean. But, I have trouble with syntax - using correct grammar.
